Anuv Jain

Getting to photograph Anuv Jain at Big Night Live in Boston on May 3rd was one of those moments I genuinely did not take for granted. The Dastakhat World Tour has been a long time coming. He kicked off the India leg back in January, moving through cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru before wrapping up in February, and then made his way to the US in May for six cities including Chicago, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, and San Francisco. Watching that journey from the India leg to the US leg play out in real time, and then being in the room for the Boston stop, felt special in a way that is hard to put into words. Dastakhat is the third chapter in a trilogy he started with Dastakein in 2021 and Guldasta in 2023, and you could feel the weight of that in the room. There is something about the way Anuv performs, no theatrics, just him and the music and a room full of people who know every word, that makes you want to put the camera down and just listen. But I did not. And I am really glad I was behind the lens for this one!
