Beno
2026
Opening for Malcolm Todd at Northeastern's Springfest on March 28 was Beno, and if that night was your introduction to him, you were already a little late to the party. His breakout single "Butterfly" had already crossed 300,000 streams, and "Summer" had landed on Spotify's editorial playlist Varsity Bars before he even stepped on that Roadrunner stage. Watching him hold a packed crowd that was there for the headliner was the kind of thing that tells you everything you need to know about an artist. He more than held his own. And it did not stop there. Shortly after Springfest, Beno was back in Boston for a show at Brighton Music Hall, one of the most coveted smaller venues in the city. With a Lollapalooza slot also on the horizon, it is becoming very clear that Beno is one of those artists you want to say you saw before the rooms got a lot bigger. Boston got two chances to find that out in quick succession, and I was lucky enough to have a camera for both.
