Photographing Malcolm Todd at Roadrunner for Northeastern's Springfest on March 28 was one of those shows I will not forget for a while. It was CUP's first show at Roadrunner, so there was already something historic about the night before Malcolm even took the stage. And when he did, he walked out in a gray Northeastern sweatshirt, which honestly set the tone for everything that followed. It felt less like a concert and more like a homecoming. He opened with "Earrings" and moved into "4Me 4Me," and from that moment the room never came back down. By "Chest Pain (I Love)," the whole crowd was singing so loud he might as well have been lipsyncing. As a photographer you are always trying to find the moment, and with Malcolm that night there were too many to count. The finale was "Roommates," with the entire floor jumping in unison, and Roadrunner genuinely shook. Being behind the lens for that was a privilege.
